Abeer Al Mohtar graduated with M.S in Physics from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She holds a PhD in Nanotechnology and Optics (Physics) from the university of Technology of Troyes, France. Her PhD work focused on optical instrumentation and electromagnetic modeling. She joined the ESPCI Paris for a first postdoctoral research project specialized in thermal characterization and device optimization. Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher at CERENA. Her research focuses on purifying the air from unwanted contaminates, where she studies adsorbent materials and performs quantum chemical calculations.
