Vittorio de Oliveira Pavan is an Environmental Engineering student at Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos, Universidade de São Paulo (EESC-USP), Brazil, currently completing a Master’s degree in the same field at Instituto Superior Técnico under a Double Degree program. During his studies at USP, he conducted scientific initiation research focused on the anaerobic digestion of sugarcane bagasse in a leach bed reactor, evaluating its co-digestion with sugarcane vinasse. He is currently a Research Fellow at CERENA, working within the European project DRYAD (Demonstration and modelling of Nature-based Solutions to enhance the resilience of Mediterranean agro-silvo-pastoral ecosystem and landscape). His research focuses on developing a framework for Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) indicators, with an emphasis on Mediterranean systems.
