I have a strong track record across academia and industry, leading research on the genetic engineering of yeasts, filamentous fungi, and microalgae for applications in vaccine manufacturing, sustainable food innovation, and bio-based production systems. My international career spans Brazil, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom, including postdoctoral positions at TU Dresden and Imperial College London. Currently I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at IST Lisboa, further advancing my research in cutting-edge biotechnological innovation.
