Ailton Gonçalves has both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering (specialized in Chemical Processes) from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL), Lisbon, Portugal. He is currently a PhD student at CERENA-IST. His main research interests are related to renewable fuels, combustion and pyrolysis, biomass and simulation processes.
