Gonçalo Tiago graduated in Master in Chemical Engineering by IST/UL in 2012, and obtained his PhD Chemistry by IST/UL in 2019. His work focused in the sustainable catalysis with metal complexes and ionic liquids, in oxidation of alkenes and alcohols and carbon cross-coupling reactions. He has also expertise in preparation and characterization of metal nanoparticles and ion exchange membranes. Currently, he is a post doc researcher in SOLAR2CLEAN project, in the photo- and biodegradation of microplastics.
