Ana Cristina Meira Castro has a Bacharel degree (B.Sc., 1991) in Civil Engineering from ISEP - School of Engineering, Polytechnic of Porto, Oporto, Portugal, a Licenciado degree in Civil Engineering, minor in Structures (1994), Mestre degree in Environmental Engineering, minor in Geo-environment (M.Sc., 1997) and Doutor degree in Engineering Sciences (Ph.D., 2004) from FEUP - Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Oporto, Portugal. She worked in engineering industry between 1991 and 1995. Currently, she is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at ISEP, where she teaches since 1995.
Her main research interests/ Keywords include applied mathematics, safety and risk management, soil, prescribed fires and environment sustainability.
