On June 29th at 12:30 the next Seminar of the Seminar Series 'Forward past, what's next?' will take place.
On June 29th we will get to know the main achievements and outcomes of projects Gasotransdelivery (by Moisés Pinto) and SCOPE (by Manuel Ribeiro)
Project Gasotransdelivery aimed developing new materials to store and release NO and H2S to deliver them at target sites in the human body for therapeutic action. The porous structure, chemical nature and external surface of the nanoporous materials were optimized to assure a good storage capacity, the stability of the molecules inside the pores, a slow release of the gas molecules and excellent biocompatibility.
Project SCOPE aims to develop computational decision support tools to support health authorities in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on spatiotemporal statistical models and machine learning algorithms, a system is being designed capable of integrating information collected from different entities not only on the incidence of COVID-19 in a given region, but also on other risk factors that may contribute to the variation in the incidence of this disease over time and space.
Attendance is free, but registration is mandatory until June 19th, 2023. Registration allows access to lunch box.
