Congratulations to Rui Galhano dos Santos on the honourable mention award on his project “Bio2Value”, in the Alfredo da Silva Award 2023 at Fundação de Serralves.

Very honoured to receive an honourable mention in the Alfredo da Silva Award 2023 at Fundação de Serralves. The jury has praised the scientific quality of my project, Bio2Value. This undoubtedly encourages me to continue to develop high-quality research. Recognising merit in our ideas is always an additional drive to move forward with even higher motivation and determination. Thank you very much to Fundação Amélia de Mello and BCSD Portugal - Conselho Empresarial para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável for believing in, and acknowledging, the quality of my research.

I am also very grateful to my research centre, CERENA-Centro de Recursos Naturais e Ambiente and Chemical Engineering Department at Instituto Superior Técnico  for allowing me to develop my vision and contribution to a more sustainable future for all.
