Academic background: BSc Industrial Chemical Engineering, ISEL; 1995, MSc Environmental Planning, FCT/UNL, 2006; PhD Chemical Engineering, IST/UTL, 2014. Present affiliations: Adjoin Professor, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Departmental Area, ISEL, Lisbon Polytechnic; Researcher, CERENA - IST/UL. Main research interests: Biofuels; Clean chemical processes (including CO2 capture and solid waste treatment); Heterogeneous catalytic processes; Nanotechnologies; Reactors Design and Modelling. Author/co-author of more than 10 scientific papers published in scientific journals with referee, 2 book chapters, author/co-author of 20 scientific communications presented in international and national scientific conferences, published in proceedings and, supervisor of several Master Thesis in Chemical Engineering. Member of GNIP (Grupo Nacional para a Integração de Processos) representing ISEL. Member of the Scientific Board of Chemical and Biological Engineering Master Course, at ISEL. Relevant professional training: Production Leader at TRIQUIMICA, S:A:, Trainee of Production Control and Planning and, also, of Hygiene and Safety at Work.
